Please book ahead to guarantee your tour… we'd hate for you to get here and have no one available to take you out! Enjoy our scenic Big Muddy Tours while our tour guide rides with you** sharing exciting stories of local history. Many stops on the tours are on private property.

  • Our tours are done in your personal vehicle! When there are multiple vehicles joining the tour, our guide will wear a headset and broadcast the tour through each vehicles FM station.
  • Credit Card information is required to hold your spot. We DO NOT charge your credit card (except for cancellation policy)

  • SAFETY FIRST: Tours are weather permitting and may be cancelled at our discretion.  Too much rain can create unsafe driving conditions or make certain sites inaccessible. We’ll always make every effort to keep your tour running safely
  • PRIVATE PROPERTY: As per Saskatchewan's Tresspassing Act, and agreements with the landowners, all sites on private property MUST be accessed with a tour guide
  • RESPECT: DO NOT remove anything from the sites, including rocks, picking flowers or shrubs or disturb the land or wildlife.
  • PRIVACY: Please do not record our guides without permission
  • Maps are NOT available for our sites, in order to protect the land and to avoid tresspassing
  • Please park in designated parking lot to view the dragline bucket, mural, and horse.

Food & Drink

Guests are encouraged to bring their own snacks or lunches  and drinking water, or preorder a lunch (made by the Rustic Tavern). The lunch which will include a loaded deli sub(ham, pepperoni, turkey, lettuce, cheese, pickles, mayo), side salad with ranch, a homemade fudge brownie, and a bottle of water. During the Legends and Landscapes Tour (8 hrs), you may also purchase  goods at the Big Beaver General Store (closed Sundays), however, you will  be eating at the Paisley Brook School House as this time slot has been made to accomodate the guide having time to eat while you explore. While taking the Highlights Tour (5 hrs) we do not have a designated lunch stop, therefore lunches will have to be eaten 'on-the-go'.

FAQ

Testimonials

  • Our guide was fantastic. It was evident that she enjoyed her "job", and added a lot of extra knowledge and insight into the stories from that era in saskatchewan history. Her demeanour with all people on the tour made it that much easier to enjoy, as well as stay focused on what was being explained to all of us. Thanks again Elaine, your jovial and kind nature made it very easy for my family to spend the whole day taking in the sights in the Coronach area.

  • Had an amazing day in august with our tour guide Lianne! She was very knowledgeable and full of interesting facts! There were 5 vehicles in our tour but we could hear her very clear over the radio. We had so many questions along the way it would have been nice if there was a way to send them to her so she could answer them (she did nor have a cell phone or texting capabilities). I highly recommend the tour!
